Just a quick one for you today. This is the state of my town after 4 months (yes, 4 months!) of neglect.
Doesn’t look that bad from the photos but on a larger scale? Yeah, it was a pain in the butt to clear up.
My town is now clean though; it’s like I’ve never been away! It took me a total of about 10 minutes to clean up all the weeds.
I haven’t posted anything on here for donkey years… Due to exams and stress, I have not had time to update posts or anything, and certainly no time to play my Nintendo DS!
Shocking, I know: my town is probably scattered with weeds; all my neighbours might have moved town; missed birthdays and events…
Don’t follow my lead, everyone! ‘Tis a bad habit.
I might do a post on the current state of my town (eek!) and then an after picture when it is all cleaned up. Should be back to normal during Christmas but not sure about January (more exams…). Just to let you know in advance.
Stay posted guys.
If you don’t play Animal Crossing: Wild World in the middle of the night in July and August, YOU’RE MISSING OUT LOADS!
There are so many rare bugs that you can find in the middle of the night that you can’t find in the day e.g. Atlas Beetle, Hercules Beetle, Goliath Beetle, Elephant Beetle, Tarantula, Scorpion etc.
It’s such a great way of paying off your mortgage. If you want a mansion, then summer’s the best time to go for it. In the winter, it’s near impossible to pay it off quickly. I say this because I have tried and it is MUCH easier to pay your loan off in the summer, where there are more bugs and fish available.
I was playing until 2am last night and I filled up my inventory 4 times, purely with rare beetles and fish:
- Dynastid Beetles
- Hercules Beetles
- Atlas Beetles
- Elephant Beetles
- Goliath Beetles
- Scarab Beetles
- Tarantulas
- Scorpions
- A Coelacanth (because it was raining)
- A Gar
- A Hammerhead Shark
I sold them the next day and I had to make 4 trips back to my house to fill up my inventory with more beetles and fish. Each trip yielded around 65.000 Bells or so. In the end, I got about 259.000-odd Bells. Then it was straight into my bank account. I did this the night before too, and got pretty much the same amount of Bells. So I have about 525.000-odd Bells in my bank account. I need 848.000 Bells to pay off my mortgage, so I think another 2 nights will do it. Just so you know, I’m not bragging; I simply used my last night as an example of how quickly you can pay your loan off and how many rare bugs and fish there are at night.
So I can pay off my mortgage in 4 nights in the summer and if I tried in the winter, it would take me about 2 months (only if I stuck at it).
I know it’s bad for your body clock, but I’m an insomniac anyway so I find it easy to stay up until the depths of the night. Plus, it’s nearly the summer holidays and all my exams are over ^_^
To catch more beetles, you will need to plant at least 6 palm trees to get a better chance of encountering them. (I’ve got 6 palm trees, but I am planning to plant much more so I get more money for my mortgage!)
Sorry if this was such a long-ass post, but I’m just excited about sharing this with you guys (not that many of you guys read this blog anyway -.-).
YOU’RE MISSING OUT IF YOU DON’T PLAY THIS AT NIGHT!
(Oh, and it’s best you leave your game running for a while.)
This is the shark I caught. Mmm… tasty. No, I donated it to the museum, like the good girl I am.

Anyone for a bedroom tour? xD
As you can see, I have a new addition to the ACWW family (named Charlie), who I haven’t quite got round to playing with yet (whoa?! Sounded just a bit wrong there, but you know what I mean).
I also have my telephone at the top there, in between our beds and our room is quite small. It’s not wallpapered or carpeted. All furniture you see here is from Nookway. If anyone would like me to do a detailed review on any specific thing in this room, then be sure to let me know and then I can review it for you guys. Especially the bed.
PARODY - Room tours on YouTube. Room tours are actually my favourite thing to watch on YouTube so I’m not quite sure why I did this, but hey. Nothing interesting is happening in my town.
I have just made a discovery! I’m not sure if it’s been discovered before, but I just did, ok?
Anyway, I have noticed that rare fish seem to appear more often when it’s raining. I was playing yesterday and it was such a dull day because it was raining and I felt like fishing for a bit. In a hour of non-stop playing, I caught 5 Hammerhead Sharks, 2 Sharks, a Coelacanth, two Dorados and 2 Arowanas.
So, if you want to catch rare fish, try going at night when it’s raining and when your game has been running for a while. Sometimes, rain isn’t a bad thing!
